Garage Cleanout
Scottsdale, AZ
Scottsdale garages are big and they are hot. There are no basements here — caliche and slab — so a three-car bay in DC Ranch or Grayhawk ends up holding everything, and the summer cooks half of it. We clear it as flat truck-fill from $241, load from inside the bay so nothing sits on your driveway, and sweep before the door comes down.
How it works
1 · One wide photo
Raise the door and shoot from the driveway, far enough back to catch the side walls and any overhead racks. Ceiling storage is routinely a third of a Scottsdale garage and it is the part people leave out of the photo.
2 · A fixed price back
Labour, truck, loading and disposal in one flat number — not an hourly rate and not a range. It is quoted before dispatch and it does not move on the day.
3 · Cleared and swept
The crew works the bay from inside out, straight into the truck. Nothing is staged on the driveway, and the slab is swept before we close up.
Why Scottsdale garages fill the way they do
No basement, ever
Caliche soil and slab-on-grade construction mean there is nothing under the house. Everything a basement would hold in another state is in the garage here, which is exactly why the bays were built so large in the north Scottsdale communities.
The summer destroys stored goods
A closed Scottsdale garage in July runs far past what cardboard, adhesives, photographs, candles or plastic bins survive. A lot of what we take out is not being thrown away because it was outgrown — it is being thrown away because the heat finished it.
Seasonal residents and closed-up houses
Plenty of Scottsdale houses are occupied part of the year. Things get put in the garage at the end of a season and are not looked at again until someone decides to sell — so clearances here are often a decade in one go.
HOAs that actually enforce
DC Ranch, Grayhawk, McDowell Mountain Ranch, Troon and the gated golf communities run real covenant enforcement. A heap on the driveway waiting for a collection is a letter, so we load from inside the bay and leave nothing out front.
Two very different housing stocks
North Scottsdale is large, newer and three-car. South Scottsdale and Old Town are fifties and sixties ranches with a single or a carport. We price by volume either way, so the small ones do not get charged like the big ones.
Golf, bikes and desert kit
Clubs, e-bikes, hiking and camping gear, a kayak that was used twice, pool equipment. Recreational kit is the signature Scottsdale garage category and it is bulky rather than heavy.
What a Scottsdale garage cleanout costs
Flat truck-fill, priced from your photo. A single Old Town bay is usually a quarter to a half truck; a full three-car North Scottsdale garage cleared for a sale is typically three-quarters to full. These are the live Phoenix catalogue prices — the same numbers the quote tool returns.
| What we take | Flat price | Typical Scottsdale job |
|---|---|---|
| Quarter truck (~4 cu yd) | $241 | One wall of an Old Town single garage |
| Three-eighths truck (~6 cu yd) | $338 | Single bay plus the overhead rack |
| Half truck (~8 cu yd) | $431 | Two-car bay, contents only |
| Five-eighths truck (~10 cu yd) | $513 | Two bays including shelving and a bench |
| Three-quarter truck (~12 cu yd) | $587 | Three-car garage with the gym corner and sports kit |
| Seven-eighths truck (~14 cu yd) | $661 | Full three-car plus overhead storage |
| Full truck (~16 cu yd) | $732 | Whole garage to bare slab before listing |
| Small junk pile | $82 | A corner, not a bay |
| Medium junk pile | $129 | One wall, loose |
| Large junk pile | $208 | About a bay’s worth, loose |
| Home gym | $241 | The rack and bench in the third bay |
| Treadmill | $115 | On its own |
| Metal shelving unit | $71 | Per bay, dismantled by us |
| Refrigerator or freezer | $164 | The garage second fridge |
| Sofa | $126 | Exiled from the great room |
| Queen mattress | $103 | Stored flat against the wall |
The minimum is $100 — a single item is priced as an item, not as a truck.
The Scottsdale specifics we plan around
Gates, guards and codes
North Scottsdale is full of gated and guard-staffed communities. Leave the gate code or the guardhouse name when you book and the crew gets in without calling you from the entrance.
Brush and bulk is not this
The City of Scottsdale runs its own scheduled bulk collection on a rotating neighbourhood basis. It is a useful service, but it is a set-out on your kerb in the month you are given, and it will not take appliances, tyres or construction debris. Check your own pickup area — and if what you have does not fit that list, that is what we are for.
Work early in summer
From May to September we schedule the earliest slot the day allows. A closed garage at three in the afternoon in Scottsdale is not a place to run a two-hour job, and a bigger crew earlier is better for everyone.
Houses being staged
Scottsdale buyers open the garage. If you are clearing before a listing, tell us the photography date and we will get it to bare slab in one visit.
Part-year owners and property managers
We can work with a property manager, a caretaker or a family member rather than the owner, and send the photos and the receipt to whoever is handling it remotely.
Old Town condos and casitas
Smaller storage rooms, carports and casita garages price well below a truck. Send the photo — a lot of these land in the pile bands rather than the truck bands.
What comes out of a Scottsdale garage
The gym corner
Home gyms are $241 and a treadmill on its own is $115. Between the heat and the rate at which this equipment gets replaced, it is the most common single item we pull out of a bay here.
The second refrigerator
$164, with refrigerant handled under the proper regulated process — that is compliance, not a surcharge added to your quote.
Shelving and overhead racks
$71 a bay for metal shelving, dismantled by us, and the ceiling racks come down as part of the job. No prep needed from you.
Recreational kit
Golf bags, bikes and e-bikes, kayaks, camping and hiking gear, a pool table base, ski kit from a previous life. Bulky, light, priced by volume.
Heat-ruined storage
Warped bins, collapsed cardboard, melted candles and adhesives, degraded photo boxes. Usually the single largest share of the load by volume.
Pool and patio equipment
Old pumps, filters, cracked furniture, umbrellas and a spa cover. We load it; you do not drag it round to the front.
Where we work in and around Scottsdale
We cover 85250 through 85262 — Old Town and south Scottsdale, McCormick Ranch, Gainey Ranch, McDowell Mountain Ranch, Grayhawk, DC Ranch, Troon, Silverleaf and the north Scottsdale communities up to the 101 and beyond.
The same crews run the rest of the Valley: junk removal in Phoenix, North Scottsdale, Old Town, Paradise Valley, Tempe and Mesa, plus furniture removal, appliance removal and estate cleanouts. Full numbers are in the Phoenix garage cleanout cost guide.
